Flat Roof Repair in Weybridge
This roof sits behind brick parapet walls on all sides, with a chimney stack and several mushroom vents breaking through the covering. The old felt had been finished in a silver solar-reflective coating, and by the time we were called out that finish was worn through in patches and cracking across the main area. Leaves and needles from the surrounding trees had also collected along the edges, exactly where water is slowest to drain away on a flat roof.
Rather than add another layer of coating to a covering that had reached the end of its life, our team laid new OSB boarding along the parapet edge and installed a new torch-on felt system across the roof, working the felt carefully around each vent and the chimney stack. Lead was delivered to site with the felt for the junctions where the roof meets the walls.
It’s a good example of a very common Weybridge job: a flat roof on a well-treed plot, where debris and age work on the covering together. If yours is showing cracking, blistering or standing water, it’s worth getting it looked at before the leak reaches the ceiling below.
